Set a maximum number of days that a shared call link can stay active. Users can choose a shorter expiration but not a longer one.
- Open call sharing settings: Follow steps 1–3 above to open the Call sharing settings tab.
- Enter the maximum: In the maximum link expiration field, enter the number of days. The longest value you can enter is 5 years.
- Wait for the setting to save: The setting saves automatically after a few seconds. You do not need to press Enter.
Things to Note: To remove the maximum, clear the field and press Enter. Sharing then works as it did before you set a maximum.
You’ve successfully set a maximum link expiration when:
- The value you entered remains in the field after you reload the page.
- When a user creates a shared link, the expiration date shown does not go past your maximum. For example, with a 10-day maximum, a link created on Oct 26 expires on Nov 5.
Link Expiration
- New links only: The maximum applies to links created after the maximum is set. Links created earlier keep their original expiration date.
- Bring older links under the maximum: Ask users to create a new link for the call with the Regenerate option. If a user edits the expiration on an older link, it is still limited to the maximum.
- Longer values are adjusted: If a user enters an expiration longer than your maximum, Salesloft changes it to the maximum without a message. For example, with a 10-day maximum, a user who enters 49 days gets a 10-day link.
- Extended access is turned off: Users cannot extend a link past your maximum.
- Disabled links stay disabled: When a user disables a link, they cannot turn it back on. They create a new link instead.
- Expired links: Recipients who open an expired link cannot view the call.
