Being signed out of the Salesloft Connect Chrome extension typically happens after a password change, an extended period offline, or when browser data is cleared. This guide explains the most common causes and walks you through how to get back in.
In this article:
You're in the right place if you're experiencing any of the following:
- - The Salesloft Connect extension is showing a sign-in screen where your account information used to appear
- - Salesloft buttons or panels in Gmail, Salesforce, or your other CRM are no longer loading
- - The Side Panel opens but shows no account data or prompts you to log in
- - You were actively using the extension and it signed you out mid-session
If none of these match what you're seeing, check out our Troubleshoot Salesloft Connect help article.

Start with Fix 1. It resolves most cases.
|
This is the resolution for most logout events — including session expiration from sleep/lock, password changes, browser data clears, and Chrome or extension updates. Signing back in takes under a minute and restores full extension functionality.
Step 1: Click the Salesloft Connect icon in your Chrome toolbar.
Step 2: Click Sign in.
Step 3: Enter your Salesloft credentials in the window that appears.
✅ How to know it worked: Once signed in, the extension Side Panel will display your account information. Salesloft buttons and panels will reappear in Gmail and your CRM.
The extension needs an active internet connection to keep your session alive. If your computer was offline for an extended period — such as during a long flight or a network outage — the extension will attempt to reconnect automatically when you're back online. If too much time has passed, you'll need to sign in again manually.
Step 1: Confirm your internet connection is restored (check other sites or apps to verify).
Step 2: Wait 30–60 seconds to give the extension a chance to reconnect automatically.
Step 3: If the extension still shows a sign-in screen, follow the steps in Fix 1 to sign back in manually.
✅ How to know it worked: The extension Side Panel displays your account information and Salesloft functionality resumes in Gmail and your CRM.
Things to Note: The extension will attempt to reconnect automatically up to 10 times before signing you out. If you're back online quickly, you may not need to sign in again at all.
If your Salesloft administrator deactivated your account, changed your permissions, or revoked your access, the extension will sign you out automatically. This cannot be resolved without admin action.
🔐 Admin action required: Steps to restore access can only be completed by a Salesloft admin.
Step 1: Check whether you can still log in to the main Salesloft platform at salesloft.com. If your login fails there too, your account access has likely been changed.
Step 2: Contact your Salesloft administrator and let them know you've been signed out of the extension. Ask them to verify your account status and permissions in the Salesloft platform.
Step 3: Once your admin confirms access has been restored, follow the steps in Fix 1 to sign back in.
✅ How to know it worked: You can log in to both the Salesloft platform and the Chrome extension without errors, and all expected features are accessible.
If you've tried all the fixes above and are still being signed out unexpectedly:
1. Check for known issues Visit our Status Page to see if there's an active incident affecting the extension or authentication services.
2. Contact support Reach out to our support team at Salesloft Support. To help us resolve this faster, have the following ready:
- Your account name and the email address you use to log in
- A description of what you were doing when the sign-out occurred
- Approximately how often you're being signed out and under what conditions
- A screenshot of any error message shown in the extension
To reduce how often you're signed out:
- Keep Chrome up to date: Running the latest version of Chrome minimizes disruptive forced restarts from major updates.
- Be mindful when clearing browser data: Clearing cookies and site data in Chrome will always sign you out of the extension. If you need to clear browser data, plan to sign back in to the extension afterward.
- Restore connectivity promptly: If your computer goes offline, reconnecting quickly gives the extension the best chance of recovering your session automatically, it will retry up to 10 times before signing you out.
