Calendar Sync connects your external calendar (like Google or Outlook) to Salesloft, making it easier to manage meetings, track meeting changes, and keep records up to date. Once Calendar Sync is set up, meetings scheduled through your calendar automatically appear in the platform—no need to log them manually.
By enabling Calendar Sync, you’ll ensure that every meeting update is captured and reflected across your sales engagement tools, improving efficiency and accuracy in your workflows.
In this article, you will learn how to set up Calendar Sync. This article includes:
Before enabling Calendar Sync, be sure you have a Gmail, Office 365, or Microsoft Exchange EWS calendar connection.
Once Calendar Sync is enabled, meetings that include at least one guest with a matching record in your system will be pulled in automatically.
Things to Note:
- Calendar Sync does not create new records.
- The following events will not be synced:
- Events where none of the guests exist in your system.
- Events where all guest domains are on the team’s domain exclusion list.
- Events marked as private in your calendar.
- Meeting updates will appear in the activity feed.
- For canceled meetings, the Meeting Canceled Date can be mapped to an activity field in your CRM for reporting purposes.
- If you use a different calendar provider, Calendar Sync will not be available in your Calendar Settings.
- SMTP/IMAP email clients are not supported. Users with these email clients will receive an error message stating their calendar provider is not supported.
With Calendar Sync enabled, all calendar events, including booked meetings, declined invites, and recurring meetings, will sync to your CRM.
Things to Note:
- Recurring meetings sync is only available for Salesforce.
- Only recurring meetings scheduled after October 13, 2023, will sync to Salesforce.

Recurring Events in Salesforce
Before syncing recurring meetings to Salesforce, keep these key points in mind:
- In Lightning Experience, recurring meetings appear as event series when the IsRecurrence2 field is set to true.
- In Salesforce Classic, recurring meetings appear as recurring events when the IsRecurrence field is set to true.
- The IsRecurrence2 and IsRecurrence fields cannot be set to true for the same event.
- Once an event is created in Salesforce, the values for IsRecurrence2 or IsRecurrence cannot be changed from true to false.
- Salesforce Classic recurring events require the following fields to be populated:
- RecurrenceStartDateTime
- RecurrenceEndDateOnly
- RecurrenceType
- In Lightning Experience, event series do not have a series ID, meaning you cannot locate other occurrences in a series.
