Google Calendar supports 3 different types of updates for default fields on recurring events: This event - update just this instance of the event This and following events - update this event and all future events. Do not update past events All events - update this event and all events, both past and future Use Cases When would you use this feature? Let's say you have a recurring meeting with an account or prospect and need to make an update to one of the additional Salesforce fields you configured via the Groove extension — you want this field to update for not only this instance of the recurring event, but all events to come. Or, if you explicitly do not want this to update past events, as the data is not relevant for those events. How To Update Salesforce Fields with "This and following events" in Google Calendar In Google calendar, navigate to an existing recurring event. Select an instance that is neither the first nor last instance, and edit the event. Within the Groove for GCal logging pane, make an update to a Salesforce field. Upon selection or completion of typing, Groove will ask how you want to edit the recurring event. Select “This and following events” to apply the field update to this instance of the event and all future events.
