Copilot Improved CRM Linking Logic
Clari Copilot now includes enhanced logic to link your calls to the correct CRM account and opportunity, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing your customer relationships.
You don't need to enable this feature, it's automatically enabled for all orgs.
Here’s how the improved linking process works:
Step 1: Identifying Relevant Accounts
First, Clari Copilot extracts external domains from the meeting attendee list. This helps identify all accounts associated with these domains. Public domains like Gmail or Yahoo are filtered out, focusing on business domains only.
For each business domain, Clari Copilot identifies all account IDs linked to contacts with the same domain. Additionally, it directly identifies accounts that have the domain listed in their website field. If attendees use public domains, Clari Copilot performs an extra check to find accounts linked to the contacts attending the call. The combined list of account IDs from these steps is then used for further analysis.
Step 2: Choosing the Best Account
When multiple accounts are found, Clari Copilot uses several criteria to determine the best match. These are in order of priority and we look at the subsequent one if the first one doesn’t give us a match:
-
Account Owner Presence: Clari Copilot checks if the account owner is attending the meeting. If multiple account owners are present, a preference order is used to select the account.
-
Opportunity Owner Presence: If any opportunity owners are attending, this information helps pick the most relevant account.
-
Number of Linked Contacts: The account with the highest number of contacts attending the meeting is preferred.
-
Recent Updates: If there’s still a tie, the account with the most recently updated opportunity is selected.
Step 3: Finding Opportunities Linked to the Selected Account
Once the best account is identified, Clari Copilot searches for all open opportunities linked to this account. This narrows down the specific opportunities that the call can be associated with.
Step 4: Choosing the Best Opportunity
If multiple opportunities are linked to the selected account, Clari Copilot uses additional criteria to choose the best match. Again, these are in order of priority and we look at the subsequent one if the first one doesn’t give us a match:
-
Opportunity Owner Presence: Clari Copilot checks if the opportunity owner is attending the meeting. If multiple opportunity owners are present, a preference order is used to select the opportunity.
-
Number of Linked Contacts: The opportunity with the highest number of linked contacts attending the meeting is preferred.
-
Recent Updates: If there’s still a tie, the opportunity with the most recent update is selected.
By following this method, Clari Copilot ensures that calls are linked to the most relevant accounts and opportunities, maintaining an organized and efficient CRM system. This intelligent linking process makes it easier to track interactions and manage your customer relationships effectively.
