This guide covers the steps to configure skills to sync data from Drift Email to an Eloqua custom object (CDO).
Plan Availability: Eloqua Custom Object Sync is available on the Advanced and Enterprise Drift plans.
Step 1: Create your CDO sync skill
First, navigate to the Automate tab and click "Create New Skill." Then select "Eloqua custom object sync."

From here, click "New Custom Object Sync." Then, choose if you'd like to update existing contacts or create new contacts.

Step 2: Set your reply filters
On the Type step, choose which reply types you want to sync to your custom object, as well as which languages you would like to look for.
If you're building a Create contacts sync, you'll also see an option to select contact quality. More on contact quality here

Step 2: Select the object to sync to
Choose your custom object in the Object step, using the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Map fields
You have 2 types of field mapping available in your custom object sync:
Drift Email field mapping: Map data collected by Drift about the email reply to Eloqua. You can map to standard fields and custom fields. If you're building a create contacts sync, the contact's email address, name, and phone number will be mapped from Drift Email to Eloqua by default.
Static field mapping: Use this to set a field to a specific value. One example we recommend for creating new contacts is populating your Lead Source field with "Drift Email."

Once you've mapped your fields, hit Finish to save and enable your sync.
