You have the ability to customize what contact attributes will appear within your sidebar during conversations! This applies to both Drift attributes and custom attributes.

Adding and Removing Attributes from the Sidebar

To add or remove attributes from the conversation sidebar, start by going to Visitors > Contact Settings. 

Once there you can view ether your Drift or custom attributes depending on what attribute you are looking for. Once you find the correct attribute click the ellipsis and click "show in conversation". To remove an attribute that is beings shown in the sidebar, click the ellipsis and click "hide in conversation".
