Keeping accurate data is critical to your business. Leads and Contacts will have conversations and book meetings with your team in Drift and that information needs to be captured in external systems.
In this doc we'll cover:

Below is a guide for connecting Drift into your Marketing Automation Systems to ensure data is flowing properly.
After connecting, you'll want to set up the lead flow from Drift to Marketo, To do this:
Head to your Marketo settings and turn on the Sync leads from Drift to Marketo option.
You'll also want to configure which field in Marketo will receive the information for the lead owner (the agent in Drift who booked a meeting with the site visitor, the agent who was in the conversation, and the agent who closed the conversation). The last person to be routed into the conversation will be set as the lead owner. In this example, Owner Email is the field we used.

In addition to connecting a Lead Owner, you also have the ability to connect Drift to a specific Marketo Program so that your leads captured via Drift will transfer to Marketo.

You also have the ability to sync your leads to a specific Marketo program via your bot playbooks, we have a dedicated help doc here that dives deeper into this.
The final piece of setup in Marketo is to ensure you have configured Custom Activities. Custom Activities can be used to trigger or filter programs specific to Drift actions, like a lead having a conversation or booking a meeting. Details on the setup of activities and their mappings can be found linked in the respective articles below.
