Connecting the App
For Drift Admins: Steps to Take Within Drift
In order to begin getting Drift notifications in Teams, you must first make sure that you have the Microsoft Teams integration connected within Drift. To enable the Microsoft Teams integration in Drift, make sure you are logged in as a Drift admin and navigate to "Settings > Integrations > Microsoft Teams".

Once you click into the integration, simply click the blue "connect" button to connect the integration.

For Drift Chat Users: Steps to Take Within Microsoft Teams
Once the Microsoft Teams integration is connected within Drift, every Drift user in your Teams instance should receive the following email prompting them to download the Drift app within Teams.

If for any reason the email does not get sent out, the Teams admin will need to approve the Drift app in Teams either themselves or by working with their IT team if the admin does not have the ability to approve the app themselves. The Drift app in Teams requires the following permissions from Teams:
- Receive messages and data that I provide to it.
- Send me messages and notifications.
- Access my profile information such as my name, email address, company name and preferred language.
Once the app has been approved by IT or the admin in Teams, your chat users can install the Drift app if it has not been pushed out to them by the Teams Admin.
Chat User Settings
If the Drift app has not been pushed out to your Teams instance by your Admin, you can download the app from within Teams. Start by clicking into the app store and search "Drift".
Click into the app and click "Add" to download the app.

Once you connect the app you will get the following message in Teams:

After receiving this message, either click the link included the message or navigate to your notification settings within Drift here. Once you are in your Drift notification settings you'll want to make sure you check the box to enable Teams notifications for conversations where you are a participant.
Note: It is expected that you can only enable Teams notifications for conversations where you are a participant.

Once that box is checked you should be all set to start receiving Drift notifications within Teams. You will only receive a notification in Dynamics when you are added to a conversation as a participant. You will not continue to receive Drift notifications in Dynamics for each message that comes through in a conversation.

Account Notification Settings
To set up Account notifications for Microsoft teams, head to your notification settings within Drift here. From this screen click on Account activity. Here you can click the boxes listed under MS Teams to enable notifications for your account filters.

Once you've checked the appropriate boxes you will start receiving notifications through MS Teams whenever someone from an account in one of your filers is active on your site.
