Drift will be retired on January 31, 2027. These are the most common questions admins and account owners may have about the sunset including what changes, what happens to your data, how contracts are handled, and what to use instead.
What is happening to Drift in Salesloft?
Salesloft is retiring Drift, its conversational marketing product, on January 31, 2027. Your access and service level remain unchanged through the end of your contract or the sunset date — whichever comes first. Partner solutions are available for teams who need to replace Drift functionality.
Why is Drift being discontinued?
This decision reflects Salesloft's focus on building a unified Predictive Revenue System rather than maintaining Drift as a standalone product. The market is also shifting from static, script-based bots to multimodal AI, and Salesloft's chosen partners represent a future-ready approach aligned with how modern buyers want to interact.
When will my access to Drift end?
Your access to Drift ends on January 31, 2027, or on the end date of your current contract, whichever comes first. Salesloft will send reminders before the sunset date.
Will anything change for me before Drift shuts down?
No, your existing Drift contract remains fully in effect through your contracted end date or January 31, 2027. Your service level and support experience will stay the same through the sunset date.
What happens to my contract and billing when Drift is retired?
If your contract ends before January 31, 2027, Salesloft will honor the remainder with no changes to billing. If your contract extends past January 31, 2027, your Salesloft account team will reach out to discuss your options on a case-by-case basis.
What happens to my Drift data after the sunset?
Your data remains fully accessible through the end of your contract or January 31, 2027 — whichever comes first.
- If your contract ends before January 31, 2027: Your access to Drift data will end on your contracted date. If you would like your data exported, you may submit an export request to your Account Manager or contact Support.
- If your contract ends after January 31, 2027: After the Drift application is retired on January 31, 2027, your data will no longer be accessible online. We will continue to store your data offline through April 30, 2027, giving you additional time to submit an export request (should you need it).
- If no export request is submitted: All remaining Drift data will be permanently deleted on May 1, 2027. This deletion is final and the data will not be recoverable.
To export your data, please contact your Account Manager or contact support.
Which Drift integrations do I need to replace before January 31, 2027?
Three integrations require action before the sunset date: your website chat widget, Drift Email (Siftrock), and any custom API integrations built on the Drift API. The Drift chat widget will stop functioning after January 31, 2027 — remove the Drift script from your website and, if applicable, replace it with your chosen partner's widget. Drift Email functionality will also cease on the sunset date. Custom API integrations built on the Drift API will stop functioning as well.
What should I use instead of Drift?
Salesloft has partnerships with 1Mind and allGood as recommended replacements.
- For Drift chatbot functionality, 1Mind is the recommended solution. Learn more the 1Mind partnership
- For Drift Email replacement, allGood is recommended. Learn more about the allGood partnership.
