Where to find AI Translations

AI Translations happen during a conversation with a site visitor.

What Languages are Supported

Drift can translate into the following languages:

English
German
Spanish
French
Italian
Dutch
Polish
Portuguese
Russian

How to use AI Translations in Chat

While in chat, click on the globe icon in the composer bar to enable AI translations for the conversation you are in.
Doing so will open a menu that lets you select how you want your messages translated when sent.

Click the toggle to turn on or turn off AI Translations. After turning on the AI Translations, select the language you want to translate from and the language you want to translate your messages to. Then click save.

After you’ve selected your languages and typed out your message, simply send the message and Drift will take care of the translation.

You'll see the language you are translating from in purple and the language you are translating to will send as a normal message in whatever language you selected.

If for any reason Drift is unable to translate your message, you will be shown an error message that gives you the option to try translating the message again, or send the untranslated text.
