How To Create A Brand
To start creating your Branded Widget, navigate to
Settings > App Settings > Drift Widget. Click "
Add widget" and then "
Start" on the following page to begin creating a Branded Widget.

First, give your widget a name and then click the "
Next" button to continue to the next step.

Here you can choose to either
create a new brand for your widget, or
clone a brand design from an existing widget. If you choose to clone a brand design you will see a dropdown menu that allows you to search and select the existing widget you wish to clone. Once you've made your choice, click "
Next".

Here you'll set up how your widget looks, including the appearance, icon, and positioning. Click into "
Appearance" to set the colors and font type of your widget.

Click "
Icon" to setup the icon that will appear in your widget. Here you can set the shape as well as upload a custom image to use as your icon.

Position lets you set where on your site you would like your widget to be displayed. You can choose from the bottom left or right side of your site as well as configure how far you want the widget to be from the bottom of the window. Once you're satisfied with how your widget looks, click "
Next".

On the next screen you'll name and customize how your Drift bot looks! You can build your own bot here or upload a custom image to use as your bot image.

Select A Language
Once your widget design taken care of, you'll then want to select the language for your widget. There are two ways you can go about this, automatic, and manual. Automatic utilizes URL targeting to determine what language to use in the widget while manual is based on a language specific embed code. We will cover both of these methods below.
Automatic
To begin setting up your widget language with the automatic method, select "
Automatic" and click "
next". On the next screen, use the drop down menu to select which language you want the widget to use.

Next you will be prompted to select what pages of your site you would like this widget to appear on. Click "
Add URL" to target your widget to more than one URL. The widget will only appear on URLs that match what you input here. You will also be asked if Drift is installed on all of the pages that you've selected. If it is, click "
yes" and your new widget will be all set! If Drift is not installed on all the pages you selected, click "
no" and you will be shown one final step.

If Drift is not installed on all the pages you will then be prompted to install Drift on any pages where it is not already installed. For more information on installing Drift please see this
help doc.
Manual
To begin setting up your widget language with the manual method, select "
Manual" and click "
next". On the next screen, use the drop down menu to select which language you want the widget to use.

Once you've selected the language you want for your widget click "
next". On the next screen you will see the language specific embed code that you can then install on the pages that you want the widget to be shown on. For more information on installing Drift please see this
help doc.
